Welcome to Canada TravelMED. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, virtual appointments, services, and all related content (“Services”).

By booking an appointment or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of our Services.

2. Nature of Services

Canada TravelMED provides:

  • Virtual travel medicine consultations
  • Travel vaccination advice
  • Prescriptions relevant to travel health
  • Pre-travel assessments and documentation

We serve patients located anywhere in Canada.

We do not provide emergency medical care.
If you require urgent medical attention, call 911 or visit your nearest emergency department.

3. Eligibility

To use our Services, you must:

  • Be a resident of Canada
  • Be at least 18 years old, or have a parent/guardian present for consultation if under 18
  • Provide accurate and truthful information
  • Use the Services only for lawful purposes

We may decline or discontinue service if information provided is inaccurate or incomplete.

4. Medical Advice Disclaimer

All consultations are performed by licensed Canadian healthcare professionals.

However:

  • Our services are not a replacement for primary care
  • Our guidance is based on the information you provide
  • Incomplete or inaccurate information may affect the quality of care
  • Travel medicine involves risk, and no vaccine or medication guarantees full protection
  • Information on our website is for general educational purposes only
  • Website content should not be treated as personal medical advice
  • You should not rely solely on website information to diagnose or manage any condition

You are responsible for following the guidance given and for seeking additional medical care if symptoms worsen or change.

5. Virtual Appointments

You are responsible for:

  • Having a stable internet connection
  • Ensuring privacy during appointments
  • Joining at the scheduled time
  • Using devices that support audio/video

Missed or late appointments may be subject to clinic policies on cancellation or re-booking.

6. Payment & Fees

Payment for services is due at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.

  • Injections are $20 per injection.
  • Payments are processed through Stripe.
  • We do not store full credit card details.
  • Fees are subject to change without notice.
  • Receipts are emailed upon successful payment.

OHIP does not cover travel medicine consultations, and the OHIP number is collected for informational or clinical reference only.

7. Cancellations, Refunds & No-Shows

Our cancellation and no-show policies are as follows:

  • Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the appointment time.
  • No-shows or late cancellations may result in a full charge with no refund.
  • Refunds are granted at the discretion of the clinic and only in exceptional cases.
  • If a cancellation is required after the 48-hour window, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assist you and allow the appointment time to be offered to other patients.

8. Use of Our Website

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to breach or bypass security features
  • Copy, distribute, or reproduce website content without permission
  • Upload harmful files, malware, or automated scraping tools
  • Use our website in a way that violates any Canadian laws

We may suspend access for violations.

9. Privacy & Personal Health Information

Your privacy is extremely important.
Our collection, use, and storage of personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy, available on our website.

By using our Services, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Third-Party Services

Our Services may include integrations with third-party platforms such as:

  • OceanMD (booking and intake)
  • Stripe (payments)
  • Google Analytics (website analytics)

We are not responsible for the privacy practices or actions of these third parties, but we work only with reputable and compliant providers.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Canada TravelMED and its staff are not liable for any damages resulting from:
    • Misuse of the Services
    • Failure to follow medical advice
    • Delays, interruptions, or technical issues during virtual appointments
    • Travel-related illness or injury
  • Our total liability in any claim is limited to the amount paid for the Service in question.

Nothing in this section limits liability for gross negligence or professional misconduct.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Canada TravelMED, its staff, contractors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Services
  • Your breach of these Terms
  • Your violation of any laws or third-party rights

13. Children and Minors

We provide services to minors only with the consent and presence of a parent or legal guardian.
The guardian is responsible for the accuracy of the minor’s medical information and for decisions regarding care.

14. Intellectual Property

All website content, logos, graphics, and materials are the property of Canada TravelMED and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written consent.

15. Termination of Services

We reserve the right to:

  • Refuse service
  • Cancel appointments
  • Terminate the provider–patient relationship

This may occur if:

  • Information is withheld or falsified
  • Abusive or inappropriate behavior occurs
  • Clinic policies are repeatedly violated

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada.

Any disputes will be resolved in Ontario courts.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update or modify these Terms at any time.
Changes will take effect once posted on our website with an updated effective date.

Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
