Do I have to live in Hamilton to use this travel clinic?
No. As long as you are physically located in Ontario at the time of your video call, our licensed Ontario physicians can evaluate your itinerary and send prescriptions to any pharmacy in your area.
Which vaccines must be done in person?
Vaccines requiring an official stamp (like the International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever) must be administered at our designated physical location at 101-444 Concession St in Hamilton. Most standard vaccines can be prescribed to your local pharmacy.
Are virtual consultations covered by OHIP?
Pre-travel medicine consultations and destination risk assessments are classified as non-OHIP covered services across Ontario. However, many extended workplace health plans or travel insurance policies cover consultation fees and prescription costs.
Is there a price difference between virtual and in-person?
No. Our consultation fees are identical regardless of whether you meet with the physician online or visit the physical clinic.
