Dr. Ratnasingam completed his Family Medicine residency at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He also participated in three years of the Royal College Emergency Medicine residency training program. Since completing his residency, he has been practicing as a family physician for 13 years, with a special interest in Travel Medicine.

As an experienced physician, Dr. Ratnasingam and his medical team recognized a consistent trend: Canadian travellers were unaware of preventable and treatable health risks abroad. This consistent pattern revealed a clear necessity, which led to the creation of Canada TravelMED to provide virtual travel health advice and keep travelers healthy and fulfilled, ensuring their journeys create cherished memories, not medical emergencies.
